◇ Vermicelli Rice ◇



 1 Cup               –           Basmati / Long Grained rice

2 Onion          –           Finely Chopped

1 tsp.               –           ginger Paste

1 tsp.               –           garlic Paste

6 tbsp.            –           butter

4 tsp                –           vermicelli

2 cup              –           Water

1 piece / Salt to taste –        Maggie cube (Chicken / Vegetable).


Method :

 Cooking Time –  20 minutes :

 Soak rice in water for 15 mins. Drain & keep aside.

Heat clarified butter in a pot add chopped onion sauté until onions become nice dark brown in color. Roughly about 5 to 7 mins on low flame.

Add ginger and garlic paste fry for 3 minutes

Add water, Maggie cube / salt to taste then add the rice let it cook for 15 minutes

Meantime fry the vermicelli with 1 tbsp. of oil and little brown not too dark.

After 15 minutes put the fried vermicelli and mix slightly see the don’t mix to much then grain may break. Cook for another 5 minutes. Serve hot with Chicken Gravy / Salad.

 Note :

  • I don’t use turmeric coz I use Maggie cube it gives pale yellowish Color if you salt then use ½ tsp. turmeric pwd.
