I visit to my sister Elsie home with ma kids for Eid holiday and she prepared dis grill chicken and it was superhit for ma kids and cant forget massi food taste.
So ma kids request me to cook massi recipe with the yellow rice and how can I say no to them so I replica of ma sis recipe and the were so excited when I was preparing and while cooking the aroma mama its massi chicken @ last their waiting hrs. Finished and saw da grill told me mama do click pic and send massi and do thank her on their behalf for the amazing recipe.
Cooking a whole chicken is easier and more delicious than you might expect.
1 whole chicken
6 garlic cloves
1 1/2 inch ginger
3 green chilly (use according to your taste because of my kids I use 3 discard the seeds)
3 pepper corn
1 inch cinnamon stick
Salt according to taste (incase using maggie grind along with massala
Ginder all the ingredients in mixer with little water.
Cut the chicken in middle don’t discard the skin i discard the neck and prick the chicken with fork, apply the grind massala to chicken and loosen skin from breast and drumsticks by inserting fingers, gently pushing between skin and rub spice mixture under skin. Gently press skin to secure and let it marinate for 3 to 4 hrs.
After fo 4 hrs. Take a frying pan & fry the chicken sight brown dont burn too much.
Then transfer the chicken and oil to the cooking tray add veg. of your choice and grill for 40 minutes in the middle turn the chicken, check the chicken is done by insert the knife, if juice is reddish keep for another 5 minutes and gas make for 165°
Transfer chicken to a cutting board; let rest 10 minutes.
And serve with yellow rice or another rice of your choice.
