Well I am a big fan of Martha Stewart of all her innovation & she is a master piece, all rounder like craft to baking and party decor, just fell in love with her innovation, well i never use to miss her show in Kuwait Channel when i was housewife but Now also being a busy mama, working lady dont miss her show hence forth if i miss then dont miss to see da youtube God Bless her 🙂
Well i mostly make Sugar Cookies but this time i has tried “Martha Stewart” innovation but with some twist, Well Christmas is around, I n ma kids are quite excited for the big day of Our “Lord Jesus Birthday” we just prepare as wedding in our family, and really i enjoy this festive more than any other so excited to decor da house prepare da sweets, @ home i just cancel each dates on calender and counting da days all set but some more sweets has to prepare & time is short, but still ma passion will never end there even though bzy schedule cant resist without making Christmas Platter of ma Goan Style miss ma goa Christmas with ma family and frds. Specially “Ma Angel MoM”.
Well Sugar Cookies innovation listed below :-
Recipe Courtesy to : Martha Stewart
Unsalted Butter @ room temperature 1/2 Cup
Sugar 1 cup
Vanilla extract 1 tsp.
Nutmeg 1 tsp.
Flour all – purpose / White flour 2 cups
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp.
Sugar decor 2 tbsp.
Red food color 1 drop
Colour Sugar :
Take a bowl add sugar & color and mix with the spoon & keep a side.
For Cookies :
Take a bow Add flour salt and baking pwd., nutmeg mix well and keep a side.
Now take a bigger bowl Take a large bow add butter & sugar mix together with electric bitter till it become fluffy, then add egg, & vanilla extract and mix well for a second.
Now add dry ingredient mix with flour, nutmeg, baking pwd. and salt mix well till it combined well.
Divide the dough into two flatten each half and wrap into plastic & refrigerator / freeze for at least 20 minutes.
Turn the oven to 170 drg., in meanwhile put some dry flour on board and roll it to 1/4 inch thick, dust the flour if needed and cut according to your shapes using the cookies cutter.
Take a baking tray put parchment-lined baking sheet or Aluminum foil and place da cookies and bake for 15 – 18 minutes, till it turn to light brown.
Once u take out the cookies when it is hot press the red crystal sugar gently into the cookies and rest for sometimes and store it in a cookies container.
Well i go for color Red coz of Christmas theme if you make you can go for any color.
I use Nutmeg coz i m a grt. fan of nutmeg da aroma filled da whole house i personally love both vanilla extract.
