Bake Fish


I am a big fan of fish and when it comes to prepare i mostly prefer to bake fish this recipe i adopt from ma dad he use to prepare and dis beauty and it was ma favorite then and till date i love to continue his amazing recipe and what else i can say cant compare any food from the parents treasure recipessssssssss.

This is a very special by infusing it with several spices, covering by aluminum foil and baking inside the oven. The fish was cooked like steamed with all its tasty juices and flavors kept intact inside the foil throughout the whole cooking process.  and melt in the mouth sweet and sour combo.

Ingredients :

Snapper Fish            4 Piece  (clean keep a side) / or any fish

Date                          8 piece (discard the seeds & cut into into pieces)

Green Chilly             4 (chopped into small pieces)

Dill Leaves               1 cup (chopped a keep a side)

Tomato                    2 medium (chopped small chunks)

Onion                      3 medium (chopped into small chunks)

Lime Juice              4 tbsp.

Garam masala       3 tbsp.

Carrot                    2 (cut into length wise)

Onion                    1 medium (cut into round slice)

Red dry Chilly       3

Green Chilly         4

Mint Leaves         for garnish

Olive Oil               3 tbsp.

Tomatoes Sauce for garnish.

Salt to taste

Method : 

Take a cutting board place a fish and cut from one side and season the fish with salt and keep a side.

Put on the oven to 150˚C.

Take a bowl add all above ingredients dates, dill leaves, tomatoes, onions, lime juice, green chilly, garam masala & salt, mix well and apply inside the fish cavity and apply for all the fish remaining ingredient apply above.

Take a baking tray add some olive oil, add carrot, red dry chilly, green chilly, onion, lime slice keep the fish above add some fresh mint cover with aluminum foil give a slight cut for foil,  place the fish inside the pre-heated and bake for 30-45 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.

Transfer in a large serving plate with the foil opened and edges securely folded down. Garnish with some more chopped green onion or cilantro if you like & some tomatoes sauce abve. Serve immediately with some steamed rice. Yummy! 🙂

This dish is very simple and yet very delicious. The succulent and tasty meat of the fish will basically melt in your mouth and satisfy even the most discriminating taste buds. Enjoy!
