Chicken Gravy with chapati (rosemary & mint ) it was a aws. combo and my first innovation with both it was aws. and mint just love the aroma. ma Kids do enjoy dis combo & with chicken any form they are every ready to have it might be with rice or chapati.
Well ma Chicken gravy & with Chapati is noted below :
- Chicken – 1 kg.
- Onions – 1 big (chopped into medium)
- Tomato – 1 medium (chopped)
- Garlic cloves – 4 piece (fine chopped)
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Green Chilly – 2 (chopped into medium piece)
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tbsp.
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Wash and cut chicken into medium size pieces & apply salt keep a side.
Take a wok add the oil heat to medium add chopped garlic sauté for while than add green chilly sauté one second then add the onion sauté till it turn into translucent, than add the chopped tomato sauté for while then add turmeric pwd, chilly pwd., garma masala 1 tsp. keep 1 tsp. to add later then sauté for while.
Now the chicken and sauté well add the 1 cup of water and cook on the slow flame and cook till chicken is tender. Check the salt and check the gravy consistency.
Serve with plain white rice / chapati.
Ingredients for Rosemary & mint :
Whole Wheat Flour/ Multi Grain Flour- 1 cup+ extra for dusting
Ros Mary – 1 tsp.
Mint leave – 5 piece (wash and chopped fine)
Ghee – 1 tsp and more for frying
Salt- To taste
Wash the mint leaves and chop the leaves finely (the quantity of leaves to be added is left to one’s own choice. I add generous amount of it, as we like the strong flavor of it).
Add the chopped leaves, rosemary to a bowl along with flour and salt. Add 3/4 tsp of oil and then mix them all. Now make a soft non-sticky dough, adding little water at a time. Apply few drops of oil on the surface of the dough and let the dough rest for 15-20 minutes, covered.
Divide the dough into 5 equal parts and make smooth balls.
Now dip one of the dough ball in flour and start rolling it into a circle, not too thick/ thin. meantime keep a pan or griddle.
When it is warm keep the flame low and fry on both sides, until golden brown spots appear.
Spread few drops of ghee on chapati, while frying & transfer in Plate Enjoy with any chicken gravy.
