Chicken Pizza

Pizza is an oven-baked / stone bricks/ wood or coal fired brick oven, it’s a flat, round / square or any shape flat bread like chapatis (Indian flat bread) typically topped with a tomato sauce, cheese and various toppings.

Originating in Greece, from the Neapolitan cuisine, the dish has become popular in many parts of the world.

Earlier i made different pizza and over weekend i tries for ma family and simple and fast food meal where they don’t like to have regular meal like chapatis and pules or rice.

Well this was a “Easter Special  Pizza” and curving for pizza actually wanted to have outside but the easter mass be so long and  hardly restaurants be open and fed up to have KFC so just kept ready the pizza base and just bake for ma family their weekend special.

Chicken Pizza ingredients noted below :


Ingredient for Pizza Base :

All Purpose Flour  3 Cups (APF- Maida)

Olive oil     3 tbsp

Milk           ½ cup

Yeast        1  ¼  tsp.

Sugar       1 tsp.

Water        2 tbsp.

Salt to taste.

Method :

Take a soup bowl to the warm water, add sugar and yeast mix well then add milk. Give a gentle stir with a spoon, to mix well and Leave in a dark & warm place, I kept in oven coz it is winter but not start oven.

In meantime when the yeast activate sieve the flour take a bowl add all the above ingredient and keep a side, after 10 – 15 mts.  you can see a nice froths of yeast active this add to the flour bowl and mix the dough into a smooth ball apply olive oil and cover,  keep for  30-45 mins.

Topping for Pizza

Green Pepper     2 medium

Onion                  2 medium

Pickle Chilly         2 tbsp. (Optional)

Chicken breast  100 grams (chopped into long strip)

Method :

Chopped all the above ingredients into long strips, Green pepper, Onion & Chicken breast &  keep a side.

Tomatoes Sauce

While pizza base is resting lets do the pizza tomatoes sauce as listed below :


Tomatoes       3 medium

Green chilli    1 (chopped fine)

Garlic   3 cloves (Fine Chopped)

Onion  1 small (Fine Chopped)

Oil    1 tbsp

tomatoes  paste/ puree    2 tbsp

Garam masala      1 tsp.

Oregano         1 tsp.

salt to taste.

Method :

Heat a water in pan on high then close the flame add the tomatoes and keep for 4 minutes.

Take a plate remove the tomatoes and keep to cool and then peel and chopped into big chunks.

Now take a wok heat the oil, then add the chopped garlic and green chilly saute for while for a second then add the chopped onion saute till it turn to translucent then add the chopped tomatoes toss for while then add the tomatoes puree salt to taste, bit of garam masala  let it simmer until thick and all the water evaporate.

At last just add dry crush oregano check the salt and spice.

Pizza  Assembling :  

Preheat oven at 250° C and place your oven rack in lowest position in the oven Once the dough is rise flip it on the kitchen table, and punch and knead for a while then put it in a bowl and cover it keep for another 20 minutes.

Grease the baking tray drizzle with olive oil & some flour,  keep a side.

Lightly floured the kitchen counter top and add the dough and roughly roll out the pizza dough on counter and transfer into pizza baking tray and push from the center of the disc, press the dough out to form on any shape as desire of about 30cm and about half-inch thickness.

If the dough hard to roll out, let it rest for a few seconds, then  continue to shape. The base should be nicely even in thickness without any tear or holes.

For topping add tomatoes sauce, mozzarella cheese and the chicken, green pepper, onion  & pickle chilly over the pizza add some more mozzarella cheese above and bake in a preheated oven at 180 c for 20 mts.

After 20 mts. u will see the bubble mozzarella cheese and yummy drrooooling chicken pizza is ready.
