Chicken Shawarma is an Middle East Snacks in middle East is it prepare by roasted slowly on all sides as the spit rotates in front of, or over, a flame for hours Traditionally, a wood fire was used; currently, a gas flame is common. While specialty restaurants might offer two or more meat selections, some establishments have just one skewer.
In Middle East while cooking, the meat is shaved off the stack with a large knife, an electric knife dropping to a circular tray below to be retrieved. Shawarma is eaten as a fast food and street food @ Middle East & it is sandwich wrap with pita bread / or traditional flatbread called “Khubz” which is similar to pita bread, and also use big flat bread which made out of AFP.
And for dressing with tahini, hummus, A variety of vegetables come with the shawarma which include: cucumber, onion, tomato, lettuce, eggplant, parsley and pickled turnips or Pickle chilly.

Well dis beauty is ma kids favorite when ever we go out they never miss to have shawarma even though they have lunch they will parcel their sahwarma snack @ home. So just plan to make them home made sahwarma, bit twist with mint, lime, garlic, black pepper and grill in oven and when I prepare dis beauty I call ma 2 Master Judge @ home o it’s not big judge it’s ma own two kidos hahahh “ Danica & Dylan” believe me they just love da chicken with mint flavor well what mum that is ma award and then I roll them in flatbread and gave them for Lunch Box.
Ma ingredient is noted below :
For Chicken Marination :
Chicken breast 2 piece
Garlic 4 cloves
Ginger ½ inch
Green Chilly 2 piece
Mint leaves 5 pieces
Olive oil 3 tsp.
Black pepper pwd. – 1/2 tsp.
Soya Sauce 2 tbsp
Chilly & Garlic Sauce 1 tbsp.
Salt to taste.
Take chicken breast wash and bit cut apply salt and keep a side.
Now take a mortar add all the ingredient except sauce and make paste take a zip lock bag add chicken and the paste, black pepper pwd. and 1 tbsp. soya sauce, keep for 15 to 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 1500 C and keep the marinated chicken on the griller and grill chicken in middle flip over and apply some olive oil and grill for 15 to 20 minutes.
Take a bowl add soya sauce and chilly sauce and mix well and then brush for the grill chicken, keep a side for cool.
For Filling Ingredients :
Flat bread ready made 3 piece (cut into half)
Chicken Chopped into long strip.
Cabbage (purple) ½ cup – chopped into long strips.
Mint 7 leaves
Jalapeno 7 pieces (accordingly)
Cut the Flat bread into two piece apply mayonnaise, add the chicken strip, purple cabbage, mint leave, jalapeno, squeeze mayo & tomato sauce.
Roll it and Enjoy the amazing and tempting sahwarma.
