Gulab jamun is a milk-solids-based dessert which melting moment and very popular in Indian who can say no to this sinful dessert.
When ever I have in restaurant I say to my self hope I could do this melting moments, I always brought ready made & just fry and mix in sugar syrup, but when I came across of my friend Sama post I could resist my self how did she made so prefect and same time I ask her the terrific recipe and prepare next day for my kids they just relish melting moments every bite.
The Ingredient for melting moment as noted below :
Serve : 9 Person.
Ingredients for Gulab Jamun.
1 cup milk powder
2 tbsp all purpose flour (maida)
1 tbsp ghee
a pinch of salt
1 tsp baking pwd
8 Almond for garnish
Ingredient for Sugar Syrup:
2 cups water
1.5 cups sugar
3-4 green cardamoms, crush
a pinch of saffron
Take a deep pan add water, sugar and stir the sugar syrup when the sugar melt completely add the cardamom and saffron.
Sugar melt completely keep for 5 minutes add rose water and close the flame.
Method for Gulab Jamun :
Take a bowl add milk powder, flour, soda pwd, oil / ghee and egg, mix the mixture to form a dough it should be soft not like crumbs if it dry then add little milk, and form a soft dough.
Take a measuring spoon and scoop the dough for all the mixed dough and then roll to smooth ball and keep as side.
Take a deep pan add oil at medium heat, add a small piece when it raise at once then add the Gulab Jamun and fry at low flame and turn to other side to get even color.
when they become light golden, remove from a slotted spoon and add them to the sugar syrup, let them soak in the sugar syrup for atleast 1-2 hours.
Gulab Jamun can serve warm or chilled and garnish with Almond, or dollop of ice cream & relish.
When mixing the dough if it turn dry then add little by little milk.
Fry on low heat if fry on high heat inside it will not be cook.
